What We Believe

Statement of Faith

The Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, verbally inspired by God, without errancy in the original writings, and that it is the final and supreme authority in faith and life (I Cor. 2:12-13; II Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21).

There is only one God who eternally exists in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matt. 3:15-17; Eph. 4:4-6; I John 5:7-9).

Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, whose name was Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and for that reason He is the Son of God, truly God and truly man, the only begotten from the Father (Isa. 7:14; Luke 1:35; 2:7,11,52; John 1:1-2,14).

Man was created in the image of God. He sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that human beings are born with a sinful nature (Gen. 1:26; 3:1-7; Rom. 3:22-23; 5:12; Eph.2:12).

Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood (Rom. 3:24-25; Eph 1:7; I Pet. 1:18-19; 2:24; 3:18).

The crucified body of the Lord was resurrected, and He ascended into Heaven, and He is presently our High Priest and Advocate (Rom. 8:34; I Cor 15:3-4; Heb.7:25; 9:24; I Pet. 1:3-5; I John 2:1-2).

All who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are born again of the Holy Spirit, indwelt by the Holy Spirit and by the Holy Spirit are baptized into the body of Christ, the church, of which He is the risen and ascended Head (I Cor.12:13; Eph. 1:13-14, 22-23; 2:8-10; Col. 1:18).
